Tatton Park VW Show 2025 – A Field Full of Dubs and a Dash of Nostalgia

Last weekend saw us make our annual pilgrimage over the Pennines to the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park in Cheshire for the ever-popular Tatton Park VW Show – or VWNW, as some may remember it.

We headed over on Saturday afternoon, squeezing in a cheeky stop at Cheshire Oaks (because who can resist a bit of outlet shopping?) before heading to the park to set up our club stall ready for the early Sunday rush.

Sunday morning greeted us with a bit of drizzle, but that didn’t dampen our spirits – or those of our dedicated club members, who all turned up bright and early. Anyone who’s ever arrived at Tatton Park on show day knows the trade entrance queues can be their own little endurance test, so full credit to everyone who got there with time (and smiles) to spare!

Once we were up and running, the club stand looked brilliant. We had a fantastic mix of vehicles on display – from a Jeans Beetle and Bay Window Camper, to a T4, T5, a modified Bora, and a New Beetle. A proper showcase of how diverse the VW community really is.

We sent our junior photographer, Katie, out into the show field to snap her favourite VWs. You can see some of her brilliant photos in the gallery above – she’s got a great eye for a cool car!

The main show field was buzzing with plenty of stunning Dubs to admire, but we couldn’t help noticing that the trade area was looking a bit sparse again this year. We’ve been attending this show for many years, and it’s fair to say that some of the trade sections aren’t quite what they used to be. We found ourselves at the end of a line of stalls, followed by a rather large gap where more traders once would have been.

That said, we know how much history this show holds, and it’s still a firm favourite on the scene. We really hope the organisers have some ideas up their sleeves to bring back some of that trader buzz in future years, because Tatton Park does have all the ingredients to remain a must-visit show.

All in all, we had a great weekend, caught up with friends, showed off some awesome cars, and spent a very enjoyable Sunday surrounded by all things VW, and that’s what it’s all about, right?

Until next time Tatton!
