Camper Mart 2025 – Our First Visit to Telford’s Camper Show
Last weekend, we hit the road once again for another fantastic VW event—this time, it was Camper Mart, held at the Telford International Centre on 2nd February. This was our first time attending Camper Mart, as we’re looking to vary our event calendar in 2025, and we were keen to see what this show had to offer.
One unique aspect of Camper Mart is that it runs alongside Tattoo Freeze, a two-day tattoo convention held in the venue’s central hall. Camper Mart spanned three halls, flanking Tattoo Freeze, creating an interesting and diverse atmosphere throughout the event.
A Great Mix of Traders & Vehicles
The show featured a wide variety of traders showcasing camper conversions, leisure activity products, and all things camper-related. Nestled among them was our Volkswagen Owners Club of Great Britain stall, proudly representing the club and chatting with fellow VW enthusiasts.
In terms of vehicle displays, the show featured a handful of classic air-cooled VW vans, as well as a strong presence of later water-cooled Transporters. While most of them followed a familiar formula: air ride suspension and big wheels; there were still some standout vehicles to admire. Among them, we spotted an ultra-clean VW T4 and some rugged-looking VW Crafters, proving that there’s still plenty of creativity in the VW scene. That said, we’d love to see a bit more variety in the vehicle lineup in the future!
A Successful Day for the Club
We had a great time at the show and were pleased with the success of our club stall. It was fantastic to meet and chat with a number of potential new members, and we always appreciate the opportunity to connect with fellow VW fans.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Camper Mart, and we expect to return in 2026!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat, we’ll see you at the next show!
