Alloy Wheel Refurbisment Review
The alloy wheels on our T4 were starting to look worse for wear. After sitting on our van for 17 years, the lacquer had begun to peel.
We researched a few companies that could refurbish the wheels for us, and we decided to use RS Wheel Refurbishment as they came highly recommended and were local to us in Sheffield.
As we were refurbishing the wheels, we also decided to replace the tyres at the same time. We chose to replace the outgoing Barum tyres we had been running for a set of Michelin Agilis Cross Climates.
We bought the new tyres online and took them, along with our T4 to RS Wheel Refurbishment’s premises on the Nutwood Trading Estate in Hillsborough, Sheffield.
On arrival, we checked in with a chap called Ashley. He ran through the options available for powder coat colours and finishes. He also organised the fitting of our new tyres and the disposal of our old ones.
We chose a glossy silver finish; slightly darker, but not too dissimilar to the original colour.
Once we had agreed on the finish and service, we popped back outside where a technician had already removed our wheels and fitted a set of loan wheels so we could still use the van. It was interesting to see our van sat on 17” wheels as opposed to the 15s we normally run!
Two weeks later we popped back to collect our refurbished alloy wheels (we worked it around Saturday mornings as we work full time).
RS Wheel Refurbishment did a fantastic job refurbishing our alloy wheels. They fitted our new tyres and swapped our wheels for some loan wheels and then back again. We think our T4 looks great on the fresh wheels and new tyres.
