VW Festival at Harewood House 2019
Rain seems to have been a bit of a feature on our show calendar this year, and our visit to VW Festival at Harewood House was no different.
We dropped lucky though. We missed most of the rain; we just had to wade through a bit of mud instead. The wind and rain had done their best to ruin the show, but the organisers, traders and those displaying their cars braved the conditions and pulled off a great show.
Unlike previous years, we didn’t trade or display at the show (family holidays got in the way), we popped along as visitors. It was nice to wonder around and see what everyone else was up to.
We have a really chilled out day. We even managed to find a spot of dry grass to sit and have a picnic!
As per what is the norm with VW Festival, the cars on display were amazing. The show field is always full of both stock concours cars as well as wild customs. There is certainly something for everyone’s tastes.
There were too many great cars to pick favourites. However, the Newbie Bug Pickup was a great example of the imagination that goes into creating a car worthy of displaying at VW Festival.
